This is a visual essay about depression in intimate relationships, a much shunned away subject in Mainland China as the notion contains severe social taboo connotations. I wrote this story with heavy inspiration from someone that is no longer a part of my life; someone I desperately wanted to help, to love. This was not an easy project for me, in fact I see it as much more than a project. I believe through the process of making this film a reality, I reconstructed some faith in myself than was once very much annihilated by my ineptitude in persuading that person to stay.
